Global Tourism - Is tourism the way to go?
It is easy to recognise that tourism is the way to go for many countries due to the sheer amount of economic benefit it can reap from the influx of tourists into the destination country. This is especially so when it is reported that the travel and tourism sector has accounted for 10.4% of global GDP and 9.9% of total global employment in 2017.

However, like any other debatable geographical issue, to fully address this overarching inquiry question, you got to consider different perspectives of stakeholders in tourism development and understand the context (i.e. the level of development of destination country, the short-term and long-term impact of tourism, willingness of stakeholders in promoting sustainable tourism, etc.).
