Should coastal environments matter?
Is this a simple Yes or No question? As a geography student, the obvious answer is "Yes, coastal environments obviously does matter! If they don't matter, why are we even studying about it?"
However, like any other debatable global issues, to fully address this overarching inquiry question, you got to consider different perspectives and understand the context (i.e. the locality, uses/values of the coastal area, as well as the natural and human-induced pressures on the coastal environments).
